If you haven't already received how our classroom economy will work in the take home packet here it is:

Setting up a
CLASSROOM ECONOMY
is a great way to teach Arches Academy’s students about
MONEY and ECONOMICS while REWARDING them for make good choices!

Coming to school is very much like going to a “real” job.  Each day employed parents are expected to “show up”, be on time, wear the required attire, abide by certain rules, and perform to their employer’s expectations.  Parents can then expect to be paid for their hard work and are even eligible for Bonus’ when their performance meets or exceeds expectations.   Likewise, your children will earn an income for attending school, following the classroom rules and doing their best in school.  The students will even be eligible for BONUS’ and RAISES.  They will earn their wage daily and will be given the opportunity to either save their earnings for “expensive” goods and services or purchase goods and services right away every Friday.   Just as our “real life” economy changes so will the economy in our classroom.  At times goods and services will cost more or less depending on the supply and demand of those items.

I will be providing a can good can for each child.  This “can” will become their “bank” and will sit at their place.
The “bank” will be coming home with your child.  Please decorate the “bank” and return it the next day.

Your child will be responsible for keeping track of their money and knowing how much they have to spend.  We will be employing all of their current MONEY SKILLS and quickly acquiring news skills as we progress through the year.

This is a positive reward system and money will be awarded:
Ø Each time they attend school
Ø Each time they follow the classroom rules
Ø Each time they do their best.
I will NOT be taking money away from them for misbehaving.  The student simply won’t earn as much money as the classmate who does what is asked of him/her.

Donations to support the Goods and Services that will be

available to your children in our Classroom Community are

welcomed!
