May is our Month for
POETRY
POETRY IN GUIDED READING
Your child will be coming home in the month of May with a
POETRY PACKET.
This packet will be used for our Guided Reading time. Please read the poems from that day with your child at night for homework just like you would if a Guided Reading Book would be sent home.
POETRY IN WRITERS WORKSHOP
We will be writing Acrostic Poems this week! Every week the students will practice writing a different kind of Poetry.
POETRY IN "WORK ON WRITING"
Each day your child will have the opportunity to write a poem in their Journal. Today they took their name and created an Acrostic Poem.
POETRY IN "LISTEN to READING"
Each day your child will listen to FUNNY poems. This will help them understand how poetry is suppose to sound.
POETRY IS FUN!
