Undercover Turkey

UNDERCOVER TURKEY

As you know, Thanksgiving is not a turkey's favorite time of year. They would rather run and hide.

In class, we read a cute story called, The Great Turkey Race by Steve Metzger.

In the story the turkeys, over hear the farmers talking about a very "special" Thanksgiving turkey, so the turkeys decide to have a contest to see which of them the farmer should pick. In the end, they find out what happens to the "special" Thanksgiving turkey and they all hop the fence and run away.

With all that said, we thought that it would be a fun family project to disguise a turkey.

YOUR CHILD WILL COME HOME WITH A CONSTRUCTION PAPER TURKEY.

This coming weekend, November 7th, 8th, and 9th, think of a way to disguise your families' turkey. The turkey could become Spider-man, a princess, or maybe another animal!

Cut out the turkey and be creative!

Bring your turkey back to school, Monday, November 10th.
We will have them on display at the Thanksgiving Day Play and Pie Feast.

Have fun working together!
